Public Relations

DU BIST AM ZUG makes people visible—and to do that, it needs visibility itself. That’s why we take every opportunity to talk about the project. Whether on TV, radio, in print, online, or on social media—we are always happy to give interviews and spread the word. Are you a journalist or influencer curious about DU BIST AM ZUG? Get in touch!

A huge thank you goes to the Berlin Senate, RBB, and COSMO for the many features on DU BIST AM ZUG and the extra boost in visibility!

DU BIST AM ZUG in Dialogue

To raise awareness of DU BIST AM ZUG within academia as well, we attend conferences around the world. We have already presented the project in Berlin, Vienna, Jerusalem, Haifa, Vancouver, Toronto, and Porto Alegre—and online at American University and the University of Melbourne.

But we don’t stay in an ivory tower. We also bring DU BIST AM ZUG to popular science—on podcasts like Ipse Dixit and WIKO Shorts, at science fairs like Falling Walls or Pint of Science, and in town-hall discussions

DU BIST AM ZUG – The German Ambassador Steffen Seibert gives a speech at the opening of the exhibition „Message in a Box from a Far Land“

Message in a Box

A special highlight is our permanent exhibition Message in a Box from a Far Land at the Hebrew University. At the opening, we had the great pleasure of welcoming H.E. the German Ambassador Steffen Seibert, who delivered a moving and thought-provoking speech about DU BIST AM ZUG, public space, and democracy. Like the project itself, the exhibition lives in public space—right in the heart of campus. It is visited on guided tours, but more importantly, it meets students and staff on their daily routes. In this way, it stays part of the conversation and keeps the question alive: Who owns public space?
